Tax Receipt
For vehicles donated in Ontario, the value is determined by an evaluation performed after the donated vehicle is towed and received. If upon inspection, a vehicle qualifies for resale in its current condition an appraisal will be conducted by experienced and knowledgeable sales agents to establish a Fair Market Value for the tax receipt. Fair Market Value is determined by referencing the Canadian Red Book automotive appraisal tool and by applying appraisal techniques to the vehicle. If a vehicle does not qualify for resale, it will be recycled by a professional automotive recycler and the tax receipt value will be $300.
Approximately 6-8 weeks after the vehicle has been towed away. Delays may be experienced if we are attempting to resell the vehicle.
